::: MECUDA NRW GERMANY CULTURAL AND FUNDRAISING EVENT :::




On August 23, 2014, in the North Rhine Westphalia town of Duisburg, sons and daughters of the Meta clan in the North West region of Cameroon, resident in Germany will be organizing a cultural and fundraising event to promote education in their area of origin. The event will be organized under the umbrella of the Meta Cultural and Development Association MECUDA NRW – Germany. 

 
This fundraising event is in line with one of the goals of MECUDA NRW e. V. to enhance the educational needs and opportunities of the pupils and students in the villages that comprise the Meta clan of Cameroon.
The cultural and fundraising evening will serve as is an opportunity for the public to witness how sons and daughters of the clan in the diaspora have been upholding the Meta cultural heritage as well as highlights that affirm the cultural identity of the people. The event which will culminate in a sumptuous all-night dance gala will include traditional dances, lots of surprises and performances.

A few years ago, Lapiro de Mbanga (RIP) got Cameroonians buzzing with hope and optimism to the tunes of “Constipated Constitution” and, last week, the socio-political consciousness of Africans in Freiburg and Cameroonians in particular was aroused by the “Constitution without constitutionalism” and “democracy without democrats” message delivered by Dr. Christopher Fomunyoh.
