:::Cameroon - Ayah Paul and the Political Consortium :::
Ayah Paul Abine has formed the Anglophone Political Consortium to backup the Southern
Cameroons Civil Society Consortium formed by the teachers and lawyer.
The Consortium is made up of:
Chairmen: Mola Njoh Litumbe and Ni John Fru Ndi
Executive officers: Ayah Paul Abine and Prof. Carlson Anyangwe
General Secretaries: Elisabeth Tamanjong and Prince Michael Ngwesse Ekosso
Supreme Advisory Council: Cardinal Christian Tumi, Rt. Rev. Samuel Fonki,
Rev. Ncham Emmanuel, Rev. Prof. Anyambod Emmanuel Anyah,
and Rt. Rev. Nyansako Ni-Nku
Consortium members: Besumbu Anita, Prof. Nkwi Paul, Ngewi Asunkwan,
Hon. Joshua Osih, Dr. Simon Munzu, Dr. Assibong, Prof. Dze Ngwa Willibroad,
George Ngwane, Dr. Assomba, Ndangam Augustine, Dr. Folefack Ernest,
Bal Njang, John Tazifor, Rev. Dorothy Lemnyuy, Franklin Sone Bayen,
Ateh Thompson Pepeah, Akoson Raymond and Mancho Bibixy
Relating to the above formation of a Political Consortium to backup the teachers and lawyers,
I have received the following 'concern' from a fellow southern Cameroonian:
"Make these people them go out of this fight. The civil society consortium is doing already a great job"
I understand that many of us may have the same concerns, so I'll like to explain the raison d'etre
of this political Consortium.
We need to understand how these things work. We absolutely need this Political Consortium in order
to move the struggle forward because:
1. The teachers and lawyers are trade unionists, so can only address the civil society and social issues,
not political issues. That means, the maximum they can do is call for civil disobedience only related to
the unions that they represent. If they call for anything other than that, the government would have
legal rights to press sanctions against them and to use force and law to bring them down.
2. As a consequence of point 1, the teachers and lawyers will have no legitimacy to negotiate a
referendum to demand for federalism or independence, because, that falls under political issues.
3. Now, this is where the need for the Consortium of politicians will come in to backup the teachers and
lawyers. So in case of any negotiations, they will use the opportunity to bring up the demand for
federalism or independence because that is a political issue and falls under their jurisdiction.
4. Consequently, both consortiums are absolutely needed here to complete our puzzles and to take
the struggle over the hurdles.

We are winning bigly! 11th February and 20th May celebrations shall be boycotted. From today,
ghost town shall be observed every Monday all over the southern Cameroons while we form
our government, until 01. October
2017 when we shall declare our independence.
