::: Sketches Of Cameroon... Part1 :::

Image
Limbe A friend once told me that the Anglophone part of Cameroon was like a different world from the rest of the country. I did not believe him then. Coming in on the road from Douala, we cross into the Southwest. The roads look newly tarred and tidy. The ditches are uncluttered. The traffic is moving in an orderly fashion. The taxis are neat.  A different world!

Nevertheless, the formation of this identity occurs through one's identifications with significant others; primarily with parents and other individuals during one ’ s biographical experiences, and also with 'milieu' as they are perceived.

:: Inspiring Faces of Our Time:::

Image
Dear readers, on again at a unique occasion. Just like most of you out there, I have been contemplating what this blog is all about and what it means or should mean to you and me. I must confess that I ended up with more questions than answers. Nevertheless, I thought it would be nice to share an idea OUR column "Inspiring Faces of our time or Great men of our time". Of course, when we call men and women 'great', we do so to honour some idea, principle or belief they have displayed either in action or in the words they have expressed. These actions or words must have had tremendous effect either in us, or we must have observed the effects on others with great enthusiasm.

:::One mum, one family, one day at a time!!! :::

“You’ve developed the strength of a draft horse while holding onto the delicacy of a daffodil …  you are the mother, advocate, protector of a child, a wife and a hero in your world.  And no matter how often you break down,  always hold unto that little part of you which says;    “No, you´re not done yet; get back up!”
